Wanna know what happened on my run today? I learnt something about myself. I thought I needed encouragement or a pat on the back. I thought I dug deep into myself for motivation. Not true, while I ran in the heat I wanted nothing more then to give up and turn around. On the pathway 5 km in it read "killin it". Shortly after that it read "strong are you". After that I ran as hard and as strong as I could for the last 5 km with the sayings reverberating in my head. We all need encouragement even if it is a saying, a pat on the back or a mantra we repeat.
